Sweets From The Earth

Sweets From The Earth est une Boulangerie/Pâtisserie de Toronto, ne vous attendez par contre pas à visiter la boutique originale, étant donné qu’il y a juste les deux sites de fabrication et après les produits sont envoyer un peu partout dans la ville. On peut trouver différents Cupcakes (Vanille, fourrées à la Crème, Chocolat/Menthe, Chocolat/Lavande), des Gâteaux à découper pour plusieurs personnes, des Cakes sucrés à découper, et des choses en portions individuelles (Nanaïmo, Brownies, Cookies, Carrot Cake, Chocolate Cake, Carré de Dattes etc.). Les prix dépendent de l’endroit où vous achetez, mais en général ça reste très raisonnable (autour de €1,50/2 pour les Snacks individuels).

J’allais oublier de préciser que Sweets From The Earth c’est entièrement Vegan, et comme il y a deux sites de fabrication, il y a une location pour faire les choses Gluten Free et l’autre Nut Free.

Quelques commentaires sur les choses que j’ai pu manger, la Barre de Nanaïmo à la Menthe Poivrée est assez bonne, assez chocolatée mais on sent quand même bien la menthe, j’aurais juste souhaité un peu plus de croustillant dans la partie chocolatée inférieure. Le Carrot Cake est bien épicé et très bon, le glaçage sur le dessus n’est pas trop épais donc pas écoeurant, c’est du tout bon pour ce gâteau.

J’ai testé deux des trois sortes de Cookies, celui aux Pépites de Chocolat ne m’a tellement plus, je n’ai pas aimé la texture entre le mou et le dur, un peu rassis, peut-être que je ne suis pas tombée sur le bon; par contre le Double Chocolat était parfait, chocolaté comme il faut et croquant. Mon coup de coeur va pour le Brownie qui était juste indescriptible, le coeur est fondant, et les bords pleins de brisures de Noisettes !

Le Cheesecake n’est vraiment pas terrible, la partie Cheese est très citronnée et la partie biscuitée très molle et humide, ça ne fait pas grand chose de positif pour ce dessert, mais je dis ce que j’en pense. La Chew Barre aux Noix est, par contre, très bonne, bien chocolatée, des Noix et des Amandes entières, tout est croustillant mais à la fois pas dur à mâcher; c’est du tout bon !

Sweets From The Earth is a bakery in Toronto, however do not expect to go directly to the orginal store as there are two baking places and then products are distributed to different locations in the city. You can find Cupcakes (Vanilla, Cream-filled, Choco/Mint, Choco/Lavander), Cakes (to cut) for several people, sweet Loaves (to cut) for several people, and individual treats (Nanaimo, Brownies, Cookies, Carrot Cake, Chocolate Cake, Datta Square etc.). Prices depend on the location but they are really reasonnable (around $2/2,5 for individual Snacks).

And I was about to forget that Sweets From The Earth is an all-Vegan bakery and as there are two baking places, one is for Gluten Free and the other Nut Free products.

Some reviews about the products that I ate, the Peppermint Nanaimo Bar was quite good, quite well chocolate-flavored but you can still taste the mint, I would have like more crispy stuff in the lower chocolate layer. The Carrot Cake was perfectly spiced et very good, the icing on the top is not too thick so not gross, everything is all right for this cake.

I tried two of the three Cookies, the Chocolate Chips one was not really good, the texture was in between soft and  tough, like stale, maybe I did not pick the right one; however the Double Chocolate one was perfect, well chocolate-flavored and crispy. My favorite is without hesitation the Brownie which was indescribable, melted-heart, and the sides full of Walnuts.

The Cheesecake is not really good, the Cheese layer has too much lemon in it and the Cracker layer is soft and very humid, it is not a really positive review for this dessert, but I say what I think. However the Chocolate Chewy Nut Bar is really tasty, well chocolate-flavored, Nuts and Almonds, very crispy but not hard to chew, everything is all right for this sweet treat !
