Urban Herbivore

Urban Herbivore est ce qu’on appelle à Toronto un Salad Bar. Le système est très simple, au début vous avez un bol et vous avez un choix d’aliments, que vous demandez à avoir ou non dans votre bol. Les prix varient selon la quantité et le nombre d’ingrédients mais ça reste très raisonnable pour une Salade. Comme c’est un peu un Café dans le même temps, tous les Cafés et boissons chaudes (Expresso, Chocolat, Thés) sont proposés avec bien entendu le Lait de Soja qui est mis de base dans les boissons. Enfin les petits pâtisseries pour aller avec, toutes ne sont pas vegans il faut donc demander confirmation avant, au choix Muffins, Cookies et les fameuses et très tentantes Tartes/gâteaux !

Pour ce qui est de l’espace où manger, ce n’est pas très grand, et les tables sont en fait des bars, tout le long des fenêtres. Avantage: on a vu sur la rue et le quartier est très sympa; inconvénients: il peut faire un peu froid et ça peut manquer de convivialité si on est plus de deux.

Urban Herbivore is what we call in Toronto a Salad Bar. The system is really simple, first you have a bowl and then ingredients, you ask what you want or not in your bowl. Prices depend on the quantity and the number of ingredients, but is it pretty cheap for a Salad. As it is a Cafe at the same time, all kind of Coffees and Hot Drinks are available with of course Soy Milk that is the « normal » milk in the drinks. Finally the pastries to go with your drink or meal, not all are vegan so you have to ask for confirmation before, you have the choice between Muffins, Cookies and the famous and tempting Pies/cakes.

As far as where you eat is concerned, it is not really big, and the tables are counters all along the windows. Advantage: you have a nice vie on the street and the neighboroohd is really pleasant; inconvenients: it can be cold and it can lack of conviviality if you are more than 2 people.
